Breathwork carries real risks
Some breathing techniques can cause lightheadedness or fainting. Never practise breathwork in or near water, while driving, or standing up where a fall would harm you — sit or lie down somewhere safe. Stop immediately if you feel unwell.
Talk to your doctor first if…
…you are pregnant, or have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, epilepsy or a seizure disorder, a respiratory condition such as asthma or COPD, glaucoma, a recent surgery or injury, or a history of panic attacks, PTSD, or another mental-health condition. When in doubt, get personalised advice before starting.
In an emergency
If you or someone else may be having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number now. Do not rely on this content in a crisis.
By using the content you accept these risks and agree that you are responsible for practising safely and within your limits.
